Life Reflections
Annie L. King McKinney Robinson was born on November 7. 1933, in Society Hill, South Carolina, to the late Rev. Tommie and Louise King. Having lived a complete, active and vibrant Christian life, in response to the goodness and grace of God, she transitioned from physical life with us to life eternal with God on December 21, 2023, at the age of 90. Annie, Flodie, as her dad nicknamed her, at a young age, they moved to Southern Pines, North Carolina, and she attended primary and secondary schooling in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
Annie met and married Richard McKinney in 1951. Through this marriage, the Lord blessed them with 3 children: Bruce; Richard, Jr.; and Patricia. After the birth of Bruce, they relocated to Manhattan, New York, and she worked and attended College of Human Resources and received her Bachelor's Degree in Education. She worked in numerous schools, until she worked with mentally-challenged students and, later, retired. After a short period of retirement, Annie put her energy into good use, working as a home health aide for seniors. Throughout, she was a mother to all the kids that grew up with her children. After her husband, Richard, passed in 1981, she me a special person, who brought joy back into her life, Sampson Robinson, whom she later married. They were very active. You never saw one without the other. They were together like peanut butter and jelly. They loved to travel and spend time with family, and she loved to cook her macaroni and cheese, and banana pudding, for her family. Annie was also a breast and stomach cancer survivor.
Annie was predeceased by her parents, Tommie and Louise King; her husband, Richard McKinney; her son, Bruce King; great-grandson, Donte Collins; all of her siblings: Thomasena Eady, William King, Alexander King, Anderson King, Robert King, and Johnnie King.

I've Changed My Address to Heaven
When I changed my address to Heaven
and bid the world good-bye,
I shall live forever with Jesus
in my home above the skies.
I shall have no burdens, no heartaches,
and from tears I shall be free.
When I've changed my address to Heaven,
That's the place you'll find me.
